Tag B Parking & Children’s National Medical Center partnered to develop a brand new 5 level employee parking & transportation facility conveniently located on Michigan Avenue in the NE community of Brookland.
About the Project
Challenge
With an increasing lack of available parking for its staff and key personnel – Children’s was forced to depend on high-cost shuttle services that were spread amongst multiple locations throughout the city. This was not only inconvenient but also incredibly costly for the hospital management.
Approach
Tag B initially provided consultant services to research the market availability and recommend strategies to alleviate both short term and long term parking pain points. The solution ultimately chosen was to develop a long term parking structure at a location our management team was able to secure through a 3rd party development partner.
Results
We were able to successfully launch the facility in late 2017 – saving the hospital an average of $1,500,000 in annual transportation & parking costs.
Tag B operates the 1,500 daily vehicles, manages the shuttle transportation and provides staffing, security, and property management services.
